You can set up a passkey — a faster, more secure way to sign in using your face, fingerprint, or device PIN instead of a password. You can also enable two-factor authentication, which adds an extra layer of protection by confirming your identity when you log in from a new device. These options are available in your MyChart account settings and are designed to keep your personal health information safe.

To help keep your account and medical information secure:

Turn on two-step verification. That way, your account remains safe, even if your username or password has become compromised.
Keep your phone number and email address secure. If you think either is compromised, you can change the phone number or email address on file in the Personal Information section of MyChart.
Send all messages to your care team from MyChart, instead of conventional email.
