Hospital Directory

The Mansfield Hospital directory lists the name, room number, room phone number, general condition and religion of each patient, if provided. To protect your privacy, this information is only shared with people (visitors/callers) who ask for you by name, or by clergy who ask for you by religious affiliation. You have the right to have your information excluded from this directory. Please note, if you exclude your information, we will not be able to acknowledge your presence as a patient to any visitors or callers.

Internet and Computer

Wireless Internet is available in waiting rooms, the cafeteria, patient rooms and hallways. To access the Internet:

  • Go to the settings option on your device.
  • Choose Wi-Fi.
  • Verify that Wi-Fi is on for the device you are connecting to the Internet.
  • Select “OhioHealth Guest Internet” from the list of networks presented.
  • Press the “accept” button to connect.
  • Open your Internet browsing application and browse.
Phone

Cellphones are permitted in most areas of the hospital.

You can make local calls from your room by dialing “9” plus the number.

Long distance calls cannot be charged to your room. To make a long distance call dial “9,” then “0,” then the area code and phone number. An operator will accept credit cards, collect or third party billing.

Your room phone number is posted in your room. Telephone services may be different in maternity, psychiatric, critical care and step-down areas. If you have questions about calling hours on the floor, please ask your nurse.

Mail, Newspaper and Flower Delivery

Volunteers deliver mail and complimentary newspapers to patient rooms weekday mornings. On the weekend, newspapers are available in the gift shop or in vending machines throughout the hospital.

Mail that arrives after your discharge from the hospital will be forwarded to your home. Outgoing mail may be left at the nurse’s station or given to a volunteer.

Volunteers may deliver flowers to your room. Please keep in mind that large plants and flowers are difficult to deliver and remove when you leave. Also, live flowers are not permitted in the Intensive Care Units or in Cardiovascular Intensive Care.

Television

Television service is free. In addition to cable TV, Mansfield Hospital provides a Patient Education Network (PEN) with special programming — channels 80, 82 and 84. The guide in your room lists all cable TV and PEN schedules.
