We don't do our work for awards. We do our work to better the lives of our patients — but it is nice to be recognized. We are proud of the awards we've won because they highlight our commitment to quality.
Grant Medical Center’s STEMI (ST-elevation myocardial infarction) program has been recognized for its commitment to a higher standard of care for heart attack patients with the American Heart Association’s “Mission: Lifeline Silver Performance Achievement Award.”
In 12 consecutive months, Grant’s STEMI program has treated 92 percent of eligible STEMI patients within 90 minutes, a timeframe recommended by the American Heart Association. Our treatment rate outperforms the Ohio rate of 65 percent and the national rate of 63 percent. These figures are a true testament to our quality of care and our coordination with EMS teams.
This award recognizes our constant efforts, dedication and passion to improve the health of those we serve. Thank you and congratulations to our physicians and associates in the Cath Lab and Emergency Department who made this accomplishment a reality.
