Prostate cancer treatments and technology

  • Cancer rehabilitation
Specialized programs to restore flexibility, improve strength, manage urinary and sexual function, reduce pain and help you return to daily activities safely.
  • Interventional radiology
Minimally invasive techniques using heat, cold or microwave energy to destroy tumors that cannot be treated surgically — often with low-risk complications and same-day discharge.
  • Medical oncology
Highly individualized care with chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapies. We also use hormone therapy to block cancer growth and spread. Treatments are delivered in comfortable outpatient infusion centers.
  • Radiation therapy
Directed by your radiation oncologist and tailored to your needs. Common options include:
    • External beam radiation therapy (EBRT)
    • Brachytherapy (seed implantation)
  • Surgery
Our expert prostate surgeons collaborate with specialists to determine the best approach for you. Options include:
    • Open prostatectomy
    • Radical retropubic prostatectomy
    • Minimally invasive prostatectomy
    • Robotic-assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy (RALP) for greater precision, flexibility and control — often with less pain, shorter hospital stays and quicker recovery.
