Calcium coronary scoring is recommended for individuals over 40 who are at risk for heart disease but have no symptoms. This low-radiation heart scan screens for early plaque in arteries, helping to identify potential issues before symptoms arise.

What is cardiac positron emission tomography (cardiac PET)?

Cardiac PET is a highly accurate, noninvasive nuclear imaging test that provides detailed images of the heart and blood flow. It is used to diagnose coronary artery disease, detect areas of low blood flow, and assess heart function and damage after a heart event.
