Meet Wendy Elliott
President, Southeastern Medical Center
Wendy Elliott was named president of OhioHealth Southeastern Medical Center in March 2020. She has spent over 30 years in healthcare including nine years as a Medical Service Corps officer in the Air Force. Prior to her current role, Wendy was a healthcare consultant, served as Pickaway Health Services executive director, Berger Hospital chief compliance officer and OhioHealth Berger Hospital chief operating officer.
Being a tenured healthcare leader with experience in outpatient, community and tertiary organizations, Wendy focuses on leading operational excellence and large-scale strategic initiatives. She builds accountable cultures through active collaboration with providers, clinical staff and associates ensuring all are committed to delivering a high level of care to each patient. Her extensive knowledge of community hospital operations, combined with a deep understanding of the vital role they play in their county and surrounding areas, is why she, like OhioHealth, values keeping care local.
Wendy has a passion for leadership mentoring and coaching and has extensive experience leading multidisciplinary teams through complex change. Her leadership philosophy centers on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement allowing teams to develop innovative solutions that reduce friction for patients and strengthen organizational performance.
Wendy is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, serves on the Boards of the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce and East Central Ohio Chapter American Red Cross and is a member of Rotary of Cambridge and the Pinnacle Ladies Association.
In her free time, Wendy loves traveling and learning about other cultures. She also enjoys reading, playing golf and spending time with her family and friends.
