OhioHealth’s outpatient neurological rehabilitation services help people with neurologic conditions improve movement, communication and daily function — so they can live more independently and confidently. Outpatient services include:

• Physical therapy: Improve strength, balance, walking and movement, including care for dizziness and muscle tightness.
• Occupational therapy: Relearn daily tasks and build skills for home, work, school and driving
• Speech therapy: Support communication, thinking and swallowing with personalized treatment.
• Care management: Guidance from social workers who help coordinate care and connect you to resources.

OhioHealth offers specialty rehabilitation services that combine personalized equipment, training and technology to help you return to everyday activities at home, work and in the community. Our specialty programs include:

Inpatient rehabilitation services

Some patients need focused, daily rehabilitation that can only be provided during a hospital stay. OhioHealth offers inpatient neurological rehabilitation with a hands‑on, team‑based approach designed to help patients regain skills and return to daily life as safely and quickly as possible. Inpatient rehabilitation services include:

• Stroke rehabilitation: Coordinated care addressing physical, cognitive, emotional and functional recovery.
• Brain injury rehabilitation: Individualized therapy to rebuild skills, strength and independence.
• Spinal cord injury rehabilitation: Early, intensive rehabilitation focused on mobility, daily activities and use of adaptive technology.

Inpatient neurological rehabilitation is available at OhioHealth Rehabilitation Hospital in Columbus, Ohio and at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital in Mansfield, Ohio When ready for discharge, patients can continue therapy at our outpatient locations for ongoing recovery and support.
