Our hands deliver patient care in a compassionate, supportive environment. As a group, Riverside Methodist Hospital's nurses strive for the professional development and personal growth that allows us to provide the best possible care to our patients and their families.
In support of our mission "to improve the health of those we serve," our nursing team believes the profession of nursing is both an art and a science.
We strive to provide care that is steeped in knowledge, based on best practices and driven by outcomes. These outcomes help us optimize our efforts and better support the needs of the patients we serve.
Riverside Methodist's nurses collaborate with patients, families and the healthcare team to deliver high quality, skilled care. In addition, our nurses advocate for the individual's needs, beliefs and values to ensure we always honor the dignity and worth of each person we provide care for.
In 2006, the American Nurses Credentialing Center designated Riverside Methodist as a Magnet hospital. Magnet Designation is the highest level of recognition awarded to healthcare organizations for nursing excellence.
Fewer than 6.5 percent of all healthcare organizations in the United States have achieved ANCC Magnet Recognition® status. Riverside Methodist is currently in the process of applying for re-designation for 2010.
