Routine care from remarkable people

Primary care is often the starting point of your healthcare experience, the providers you turn to for help with everyday medical needs. But at OhioHealth Physician Group, we believe primary care is some of the most important care we deliver.

Why you should pick a primary care provider today

Primary care providers, both doctors and nurse practitioners, can take care of your regular medical needs, like annual physicals, health screenings, prescriptions, vaccines, treatments for minor illnesses and injuries, and referrals for specialized care. People often have the same primary care providers for a long time and establish strong bonds.

Several primary care providers also specialize in specific types of care, like women’s health, men’s health, family medicine, internal medicine, sports medicine, LGBTQ care, preventive therapies, and the lifelong management of chronic conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure or asthma.

Medicare Annual Wellness Visits

OhioHealth Physician Group Primary Care offers the Medicare benefit called the Annual Wellness Visit. Annual Wellness Visits are fully covered by Medicare, so you pay nothing out of pocket. Schedule your visit today by calling our scheduling line, (614) 533.6281.

Flu shots now available

COVID-19 will still be with us this fall and winter, and the number of cases is likely to climb. It’s flu season, too, and the combination can be dangerous. Keeping your guard up against COVID-19 is still important, but getting your annual flu shot is more important than ever. Vaccination against the flu is recommended for anyone 6 months or older, and we especially recommend it for older patients.

All OhioHealth Physician Group Primary Care providers are now offering flu vaccinations during your scheduled office visits. Many of our locations have dedicated times devoted only to giving flu vaccines, so you have minimal contact with other patients. And curbside vaccination will soon be an option in select locations.

You can call your OhioHealth Physician Group Primary Care provider today to schedule your flu shot. We also have flu vaccines available at any OhioHealth Urgent Care for patients age 9 and above.
