Construction at Main Entrance

Beginning November 10 at 5 p.m., the main entrance to OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital — the Blue entrance off North Broadway — will close for the construction of a new air handler on the roof. The project is estimated to take approximately 10 days. Learn More

Construction at Main Entrance

Please note: the main hospital entrance will be closed to all traffic during crane assembly, November 10 at 5 p.m. to November 11 at 5 a.m.; and during crane disassembly, November 19 at 4 p.m. to November 20 at 4 a.m. During this time, electronic message boards will be in place to redirect traffic to enter and exit the Riverside Methodist campus via Thomas Lane.

Beginning November 11 at 5 a.m., incoming traffic from North Broadway will be permitted and able to travel west to the Red Garage. There will be no outbound traffic to North Broadway, due to equipment placement for the project. Additional valet will be available at the Red and Green entrances to assist patients and visitors.

All traffic will be directed to exit the hospital campus via Thomas Lane. Signage at all parking areas and around campus, as well as Protective Services officers, will be in place to direct traffic to exit on Thomas Lane. The Columbus Police Department will be on site to monitor traffic flow and assist with traffic light control at Thomas Lane and Olentangy River Road during peak hours. COTA bus services will be maintained throughout the construction project.

With a Tim Hortons, Starbucks and full-service café on-site, we are able to we are able to provide a number of quality options to all patients and visitors. Riverside Methodist is also located near several area hotels in a convenient area of Columbus, Ohio.

We realize that Riverside Methodist can be an overwhelming place. As a result, we’ve included detailed parking information on this page and clear directional signage all over our campus. If you’re being referred to Riverside Methodist, please be sure to ask your physician’s office where the closest parking is for the area you’ll be visiting. 

Parking Information and Fees

Effective May 1, the following NEW parking rates will apply in all public parking areas of Riverside Methodist (The former rate was a flat fee of $2.00 per exit):

  • 1-2 hours: $0
  • 3 hours: $2
  • 4 hours: $3
  • 5 hours: $4
  • 6 hours+: $5
  • Visitors should keep their parking ticket with them at all times.
  • Handicapped parking is available in all lots and garages. If no handicap spaces are available, ask any parking or valet staff for assistance.

  • Security officers are on duty at all times.


Valet parking is available at the following locations for a cost of $5 for one exit; $7 for multiple exits.

Blue Main Entrance:

Monday through Friday, 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Weekends, 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Yellow Entrance (Women’s Health):

24 hours a day

Red Entrance:

Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Green Entrance:

Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Purple Entrance (Bing Cancer Center):

Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Car Return

You may have your car returned to any Riverside Methodist entrance/exit. Your car does not have to be returned to the entrance in which you valet parked when you arrived.

Call-ahead Service

You may use “call-ahead” service. Ask your nurse or patient support assistant PSA to call the number listed on your valet ticket to request that your car be ready when you are discharged from the hospital at any entrance/exit.

Extended Stay Parking Passes

If you are in the hospital for 14 or more consecutive days, parking for visitors is free. Parking passes are issued for two weeks at a time for up to two visitors. Ask your caregiver to call the Care Coordination office and they will bring you your parking passes.

Visiting Hours

General visiting hours are daily from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., but may vary for some units based on the patient’s condition/needs.

Families should speak to the patient’s nurse to determine the most appropriate visitation schedule. In consideration of our patients and others, we ask that you limit visitors to two per patient at a time. Children are permitted as visitors, but must be under adult supervision at all times. Smoking is not permitted inside or outside Riverside Methodist, or any other OhioHealth hospital.

Riverside Methodist Hospital Pastoral Care

The Chapel and Meditation Room are located off of the Main Blue Lobby.

Guests can access the Pastoral Care office from the Blue Lobby. Religious services are offered each Sunday and on religious holidays.

Interdenominational Chapel Services held Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m. and Sundays at 10 a.m.

The Chapel and Meditation Room are open 24 hours a day for personal prayer or quiet time.

Housekeeping and Environmental Services

Housekeeping is about more than just cleanliness. It’s our opportunity to make a first and lasting impression during your visit. Comfort and safety are a significant part of your healthcare. Your room will be cleaned daily throughout your stay. Please speak with your healthcare provider if you have any questions or concerns.
