Who performs lymphedema therapy at OhioHealth?

Your care is in the hands of specially trained physical therapists and occupational therapists. These certified lymphedema therapists have advanced training to safely and effectively manage your symptoms while providing ongoing support and guidance.

Do I need a referral to schedule an appointment?

Yes, a referral from your physician is required to begin lymphedema therapy. Once you have a referral from your doctor, you can easily contact one of our therapy locations to schedule your initial evaluation.

How do I maintain my progress at home?

Education is a core part of our program. Your therapist will teach you self-care techniques — including self-massage, how to properly use compression garments and specific daily exercises so you can confidently manage your condition at home.
