Support for life with a neurologic condition
Living with a neurologic condition affects more than just medical care. We believe support should continue well beyond an appointment or hospital stay. That’s why we connect patients and families with resources designed to help manage day‑to‑day life, build confidence and feel less alone. Whether you’re looking for guidance, encouragement or a sense of community, we’re here to support you every step of the way.

Fore Hope
Adaptive golf programs that build strength, confidence and connection.
OhioHealth Fore Hope empowers people living with neurologic conditions through adaptive golf. Since 1989, this community‑based program has supported cognitive, physical and social well‑being by using golf as a therapeutic and recreational activity — no golf experience required.
Fore Hope serves people living with stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injury and other neurologic or physical challenges. Programs are designed for both seasoned golfers and those new to the game.
What to expect
Participants meet with a certified recreational therapist and a Fore Hope golf professional for an individualized assessment and preparation. Programs are offered year‑round, one‑on‑one or in group settings, and use specialized adaptive equipment tailored to each participant’s needs. Outdoor therapeutic golf sessions take place at Safari Golf Club.
Benefits of Fore Hope
- Physical: Improved balance, strength, range of motion and endurance
- Cognitive: Enhanced decision‑making and memory skills
- Social: Greater independence, recreation and connection with others
