Integrative Care
We believe your well-being is just as important as your clinical care
Our Integrative Care Clinic focuses on healing the whole person, and can help improve your physical, mental and emotional health during and after cancer treatment.
Focusing on your whole well-being can improve your physical, mental and emotional health during and after cancer treatment. Complementary therapies, such as acupuncture, massage therapy, nutritional planning, wellness, mind-body therapies and oncology counseling may be combined with your cancer care plan to:
-
Manage symptoms such as pain, nausea and fatigue.
-
Improve your quality of life.
-

- Acupuncture
-
Acupuncture is a holistic therapy rooted in ancient Chinese medicine that involves the insertion of fine needles into specific points on the body. These points correspond to the body’s energy pathways, which are believed to regulate various bodily functions. By stimulating these points, acupuncture helps to balance the body's energy (Qi) and promote natural healing.
- Art therapy
-
Art therapy provides a creative outlet to encourage relaxation and explore the thoughts and emotions that come with a cancer diagnosis. This program is offered in a medical setting, such as during chemotherapy treatments, bedside or in a group therapy format. It’s a therapeutic process that anyone can participate in, regardless of artistic abilities.
- Massage therapy
-
Oncology massage is a specialized form of therapeutic touch, tailored to meet the unique needs of individuals undergoing cancer treatment as well as those in survivorship. It is performed by Licensed Massage Therapists who adjust techniques to accommodate the effects of cancer, treatments, and individual health conditions.
- Mind/Body Wellness Program
-
The Mind/Body Wellness Program offers rotating group workshops that engage both physical movement and mindfulness-based practices. Each month features four distinct themes that explore the mind and body, both individually and as a connected system.
- Oncology counseling
-
Oncology counseling provides a safe place to process complex emotions related to your treatment experience, including changes to your body, job situation, and family.
- Therapeutic Music and Sound
-
Music has been shown to reduce heart rate, lower blood pressure, decrease stress hormones and increase levels of the “feel good” hormones, serotonin and dopamine. Our Artists-in-Residence use music and sound to calm and comfort patients by the bedside, in lobbies, hallways and infusion areas.
- Yoga and Guided Stretching
-
The Yoga Program guides participants through gentle movement, yoga postures, and breathing practices. Learn and practice yoga postures with instruction on proper alignment, practice breathing techniques, and participate in guided relaxation.
