What is respite care?

For patients who have a prognosis of less than six months to live, OhioHealth provides respite care where we admit the patient to a facility for up to five preplanned days to give family members and caregivers an opportunity for rejuvenation. All the patient’s care needs will be met while they are admitted for respite care.
