I am not entirely sure of what I will be doing in the future. I am toying with the idea of doing urgent care for a couple of years before working in an outpatient clinic. The other idea would be to try to incorporate some OB into my practice, in which case I may work for a large hospital or an academic facility. For the most part, I’m very open to different ideas for my future plans, and I am looking forward to seeing what opportunities are available!
Reason for Residency
After making a gigantic pro-con list, I eventually chose Grant because I really enjoyed meeting the residents who were currently there. Everyone was very friendly, and there was a great sense of camaraderie amongst both the residents and faculty. In addition, the training at Grant seemed very well rounded with good focuses on all the major areas in family medicine. For someone who is not entirely sure of what she wants to do just yet, being very well prepared for everything seemed like a good way to train. This, coupled with the close proximity to my family is what eventually made Grant win the residency race.
