Berger Hospital Telehealth Setup Instructions
These videos show you how to get your device set up for a telehealth appointment, and what to do when it’s time to start your appointment using Zoom.
Preparing for Your Visit
OhioHealth telehealth appointments run on the Zoom platform. Download the Zoom Cloud Meetings app for your mobile device from the Apple App Store or Google Play, or download Zoom Client for Meetings for your desktop or laptop computer. You do not need to create a Zoom account. As long as the Zoom app is installed on your device, you will be able to begin your telehealth visit. OhioHealth uses an encrypted, password-protected version of Zoom that keeps your telehealth appointment secure and private.
When you have a telehealth appointment with a Berger Hospital provider, you will receive an email from “NoReply-OPG-BHS” with a link for your video visit, as well as instructions. Save this message to use at your scheduled appointment time.
OhioHealth Berger Hospital telehealth visits do not use OhioHealth MyChart or the OhioHealth app.
Starting Your Visit
Around 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment time, expect a phone call from a 1 (866) number. One of our clinical associates will be calling you to confirm your appointment details, and update your contact information and medical history.
A few minutes before your appointment time, open the email you received from “NoReply-OPG-BHS” and click the video visit link.
Clicking the video visit link will open Zoom.us in a web browser. If you have the Zoom app installed, a pop-up will appear. Select Open. The Zoom app will then automatically open to the video visit screen. You will not need to sign in. If your doctor has not yet joined the appointment, your screen will say Waiting for the host to start this meeting at the top until they join. Once the provider has joined, select Join with Video.
