The Cardiovascular Disease Prevention and Lipid Clinic at McConnell Heart Health Center. Setting new standards for care.
The McConnell Heart Health Center has established a clinic for treating patients with elevated blood lipids that have been resistant to standard therapy. Clinic Director Dr. Scott Merryman, a Diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Lipidology, will provide his expertise in the advanced testing and specialized treatment required for these patients.
Dr. Merryman specializes in evaluating and treating intermediate and high-risk patients who have not responded to previous therapies, or have experienced intolerable side effects from cholesterol-lowering medications. He also focuses on high-risk groups, such as transplant recipients and women with pregnancy-related lipid issues, and those whose family histories put them at risk. Such patients require detailed testing and specialized treatment after review by a specialist in lipid management. If you think this treatment could be beneficial, talk to your primary care physician.
