Electrophysiology and Arrhythmia Care at Riverside offers state-of-the-art technology to address the needs of patients with heart rhythm abnormalities. Because we are a site for clinical research trials, patients and referring physicians receive a wide range of cutting-edge treatments.
Riverside Methodist has one of the top electrophysiology (EP) labs in the country, averaging about 15 invasive and noninvasive procedures each day to diagnose and treat heart arrhythmias.
The EP program is staffed by experienced electrophysiologists whose expertise translates into extremely low complication rates.
Riverside Methodist is also a leader in bringing new device and catheter ablation therapies to patients:
Riverside Methodist was one of the first hospitals in the world to use the Sensei Robotic Heart Catheter System to treat cardiac arrhythmias.
We pioneered cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT), the use of biventricular devices to treat patients with heart failure.
Riverside Methodist was the first medical center in central Ohio to perform percutaneous atrial fibrillation ablations.
We routinely perform lead extractions using two laser systems that can ablate scar tissue during the procedure.
