Ideally, I would like to go back to Florida to practice medicine so I can be close to my family. However, I know that life is full of surprises so I look forward to any opportunities that many come my way.
Reason for Residency
During medical school, I enjoyed all my rotations, and dreamed about designing my own residency to fit my passions. Then I interviewed at Grant and I immediately noticed that it embodies a similar philosophy, pushing their residents to be extraordinary and knowledgeable across the genres of medicine, surgery, OB/GYN, pediatrics and family medicine. That, combined withit being an unopposed program with a diverse population in a Level 1 trauma center where residents have tremendous independence, empowerment and autonomy, is everything I was looking for in a residency program. During my visits, I noticed the faculty to be highly trained and truly enjoy teaching. I also found the residents and the staff to be very kind, friendly, passionate and team oriented. Above all, I am very confident that the training I will receive at Grant will help me acquire the skills and experience to become the best Family Physician I can be so then I can use my training to practice in any community I choose.
