 Ambulatory Clinic

Ongoing outpatient clinical experience is mandatory for all cardiovascular fellows. One-half day per week in the cardiology fellow clinic with appropriate supervision throughout the 36-month period will be provided.  This will allow the cardiovascular fellow to gain experience and exposure to the management of cardiovascular problems in the outpatient setting.

Clinical training is accompanied by a comprehensive didactic curriculum that not only presents clinical information, but encourages the in-depth discussion of particular cases and an exchange of ideas among professionals. Didactics are held five days per week.  These include:

  • Cardiology Grand Rounds – held at Doctors Hospital and The Ohio State University Medical Center
  • Braunwald Review
  • EKG Conference
  • Fellow Topic Discussion
  • Cardiology M & M
  • Board Review
  • Journal Club

  • Year 1 – One week of conference
  • Year 2 – One to two weeks of conference
  • Year 3 – One week of conference
