Collaborative IRB Training Initiative (CITI) Education Program
All investigators and research staff conducting research at OhioHealth must complete the web-based CITI Education Program for the Protection of Human Subjects in Research prior to submitting protocols for IRB review.
Please complete the “Biomedical Research” portion of the CITI program. The modules may be completed all at once or individually at separate time points. When all modules have been completed, a report is sent electronically to the Office of Regulatory Compliance. Please maintain a copy of the certificate for your files.
The completion certificate is valid for three (3) years, after which a refresher course must be taken in order to maintain certification. If you do not renew your certificate before the three (3) year expiration, you will be required to take the entire course over again.
The CITI Education Program can be accessed on the CITI website.
Continuing Medical Education credits are available for individuals who complete the CITI course. To learn more, please see the CITI website and click on "CE Credits" at the top of the page. Access to the CITI modules is provided at no cost to OhioHealth associates and affiliates; however, CE’s are available through CITI (fees may apply).
