Providing patient-centered in care in today’s complex healthcare environment requires physicians and hospitals to work together to achieve excellence in clinical quality and exemplary customer service. Our physicians and advanced practice providers at OhioHealth work closely to develop best-practice clinical protocols that result in our patients receiving a comprehensive range of accessible, high-quality and expert care.
OhioHealth has implemented the Epic® electronic single medical record system. This fully integrated EMR, which OhioHealth calls CareConnect, is used in our hospitals, ambulatory sites and OhioHealth Physician Group offices. This patient-centered EMR offers greater degrees of clinical collaboration and integration, less duplication of care, better hand offs and allows the patient to be better engaged in their own care.
