Steps to Take Before New Associate Orientation (NAO)

WE want your transition to OhioHealth to be as smooth as possible. Please complete the requirements below no later than Tuesday prior to your NAO date. 

Before you begin employment at OhioHealth, there are important steps you need to take so your start date is not delayed.

Step 1: Background Screening

Complete Your Background Screening requirements.

As part of your pre-hire requirements, OhioHealth must verify education and employment history. Information regarding this requirement will be included in your welcome email from your Recruitment Consultant.

Please complete this requirement within 48 hours to ensure your start date with OhioHealth is not delayed.

Step 2: Health Assessment

Schedule your OhioHealth Health Assessment appointment.

If you worked with your Recruitment Consultant to schedule your health assessment, you will receive a confirmation email from the scheduling system. Otherwise, please schedule your required health assessment as soon as possible but no later than the Tuesday before your start date. If you are unable to schedule an online appointment by this time, please call Associate Health.

Prior to your Health Assessment appointment, please download and complete the following documents and bring them with you for your appointment.

    Health History Form

    Respiratory Protection Program (ONLY if your job requires patient contact)

Please also bring the following:

  • A photo ID (valid driver’s license, passport or state ID)
  • Completed health history form and respirator fit form, if a direct care provider (enclosed in packet)
  • Vaccination / Immunization and TB testing records
  • Prescription medication bottles

The Talent Aquisition office will be to your immediate right (between the two sets of sliding glass doors). They will direct you to Associate Health.

Step 3: Visit Human Resources

When you arrive, we’ll meet with you to:

  1. Complete the Employment Eligibility Verification Form (I-9). Please be sure to review the List of Acceptable Documents used for identification. You may present one document from List A - or a combination of two documents, one from List B and one from List C.

  2. Take your photo for your ID badge.
  3. Take your fingerprint, if applicable, for a background check (see welcome email from your Recruitment Consultant). You must bring your state issued ID to be fingerprinted for the background check.

Step 4: Learn About Your Benefits

We encourage you to learn more about the OhioHealth benefits before attending New Associate Orientation. Doing so will prepare you in making important benefit selections. New associates must select their benefits within the first 30 days of employment.
