A Message from McConnell's General Manager
Dear MHHC Members,
Happy Holidays! The holiday season is in full swing, and we hope you are able to spend some quality time with your family and friends this season. The holidays can provide added stress to our already busy lives, but it is important to not let your healthy living habits take a back seat amidst the organized chaos. Staying on track can be difficult but with a little extra effort you can maintain your healthy lifestyle habits.
We are excited for the launch of the new “Weigh Bells Program” to help members stay on track and keep motivated. Watch the sled fill up on the fitness floor, as program participants fill the sleigh with their tracked visits! Remember the small things you do each day that help you stay on track and be successful. Don’t forget your exercise is not only good for your physical health, but it can be instrumental in helping you manage stress and maintain your healthy habits. Engage those around you in your healthy behaviors, and invite friends and family to go for a walk, try a new healthy recipe or plan a healthy holiday party.
Check out some of the new programs that we are getting ready for in 2016! We are excited to add more programs and more opportunities to help support you in your goals. Join one of our running or walking programs to get you ready for the MHHC Annual 5K in April or check out a new quarterly wellness program. There will be many options to choose from, so start planning out your 2016 goals now, and let us help you reach them!
Thank you for being active members at MHHC. We appreciate the opportunity to serve you and make a positive impact on your lives. We are honored that you choose to come to MHHC and we will continue to work hard for you. Be on the lookout for a 15% off coupon for services at MHHC coming in the mail soon as a small gift from us to you!

If you have books to donate, we would be happy to receive them from you and include them in the fundraising events. Thank you!
OhioHealth Gratitude Tree
For nearly 30 years, OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital has illuminated the holiday season for patients and families with Gratitude Trees placed throughout the hospital. These beautiful trees are an opportunity to express our gratitude and pay tribute to our loved ones and their caregivers.
For the first time ever, the OhioHealth McConnell Heart Health Center, which is part of the Riverside Methodist Hospital campus, has decorated a Gratitude Tree in the Atrium on the lower level to join this celebration.
Thank you to Brett and Cecily Alexander for their generous sponsorship of this year’s McConnell Heart Health Center Gratitude Tree. Their gift will support important programs and services that will improve the health of those we serve at The McConnell Center.
