A Message from McConnell's General Manager
Dear McConnell Heart Health Center Members,
I hope the winter has treated you well and you have been able to keep active and on track with your health and fitness goals. Spring is on the horizon!
March is National Nutrition Month. We are excited to offer our Expert-Is-In Series this month with a presentation entitled, “Gluten Free and Vegetarian Diets”. Join us on March 24 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. in Classroom A and B as MHHC Dietitian Emily Monfiletto will share with you information on the potential benefits of these types of diets, pros and cons of each diet, and how to implement aspects of each into your current nutrition habits. This topic has been requested by some of our members, and we are happy to be able to offer this information. Registration is free and can be completed at the Customer Service Desk or by calling (614) 566.5356. Don’t forget to check out Chef Mike’s monthly recipe for Orange Cream Dreamsicle Smoothie, and sign up for his March class on Knife Skills!
Its March at McConnell, so it is McConnell Madness time! It’s that time of year again for you to start getting credit for your workouts! You can pick up your game card starting March 1 on the fitness floor. Get ready to start tracking, and be eligible for some great prizes and a new t-shirt. We also have our annual 5K coming in April. It is not too late to start getting ready and setting a new goal for yourself this year. The 5K has become a great yearly tradition at MHHC, and it continues to grow. Walk or run with fellow members and friends through Peggy’s Path, get a great workout, and help us in our efforts to raise money for the American Heart Association. Register for the 5K at the Customer Service Desk or by calling (614) 566.5356. We hope to see you there!
Thank you for being active members at MHHC. We appreciate the opportunity to serve you and make a positive impact on your lives. We are honored that you choose to come to MHHC and we will continue to work hard for you.
