In addition to becoming an OhioHealth Marion General Hospital volunteer, you may chose  to become members of individual TWIG (Together We Inspire Giving) organizations.  A TWIG is an organization that provides financial support to Marion General through fundraising activities.

Our TWIG organizations contribute nearly $150,000 annually to support the mission of the hospital. These groups not only provide equipment for general use but also for specific areas as well.

If you are interested in becoming a member of a TWIG organization, please contact Beth Meadows at elizabeth.meadows@ohiohealth.com or by calling Volunteer Services at (740) 383-8443.

Our TWIG organizations include:

TWIG I Well Care Clinic: Coordinates efforts with community partners to help promote the OhioHealth mission with an emphasis on children's health issues in the Marion area. Fundraising efforts include uniform sales, private and corporate donations.

TWIG II Newborn/Pediatrics: This group provides an important service by donating much needed supplies to obstetrics, pediatrics, emergency department imaging and others as the need is identified. They purchase and distribute toys to our youngest patients; provide Memory Boxes for mothers who have suffered the loss of a newborn and more. They raise funds through a biannual Auction of the Greens community event and through a cooperative effort with Scioto Shoe Mart with a semi-annual shoe sale.

TWIG III Gift Shop: The funds raised through the operation of the hospital Gift Shop are used to purchase equipment and help in various remodeling efforts. The shop is staffed seven days a week by more than 50 dedicated volunteers.

TWIG IV Marion Board of Realtors: This group sponsors the annual Carmen Morbitt Memorial Hit a Ball for Hospice golf outing, Remembrance Trees during December, and Cupcake Wars in February. Funds raised through the efforts of these members are used to help support Marion General Hospice patients and their families.

TWIG V: This group supports the hospital through a semi-annual book sale. Their generous donations help to provide support for various hospital functions, including our Forensic Nurse Team, and providing flowers for the LPN and paramedic graduates at Tri-Rivers Vocational School.

TWIG VI Garden Club: Originally known as the Men's Garden Club, this group's primary function is to provide and maintain the beautiful rose beds that surround the hospital. Funds are raised through the coordination of flower sales each year and a Spring Garden Fair.

TWIG VII Marion Area Auxiliary: This volunteer group operates the gift shop on the Marion Medical Campus and offers hours in the surgery lounge and at the reception desk. Their main focus is through cardiac and pulmonary services, but they also provide funds in other areas as identified.
