Our Cardiac Rehabilitation team works with you to design a program tailored to your heart health needs and your individual level of fitness.

- heart attack
- bypass surgery

Marion General's Cardiac Rehabilitation Services
Cardiac rehabilitation at Marion General is provided on an outpatient basis in the hospital.
Participants typically spend six to 12 weeks in the program, attending cardiac rehabilitation for approximately one hour a day, three days a week.
Cardiac Rehab Phase II: You are supervised and will have your heart monitored by our specially trained staff.
Cardiac Rehab Phase III: You no longer wear the wireless heart monitor, yet your progress continues to be supervised by our staff.
A physician referral is required to participate in our cardiac rehabilitation program.
Marion General's Spousal Cardiac Rehab Program
At Marion General, we recognize how important the support of your family can be to the success of your rehabilitation. Our Spousal Cardiac Rehab Program offers your partner a unique opportunity to support your rehabilitation by actively participating with you throughout your individualized program.
In addition, our education classes will provide you and your partner the opportunity to learn more about ways to reduce your risk factors, how best to manage stress and help you develop your own exercise plan for home. Included in these classes is nutrition counseling to help you develop and establish a more heart-healthy lifestyle.
