When You’re Admitted

You’ll have a private, tranquil birthing suite. It includes state-of-the-art labor and delivery technology, a private bathroom and walk-in shower, and natural lighting. Amenities include comfortable sleeping accommodations for you and your partner. You will labor, deliver and recover here.

During labor and delivery, your main support person and two others may be in the room with you. Family and friends are welcome to wait in the family waiting area just down the hall. Visitors can take turns visiting you in the labor and delivery room. Only three people may be in the room with you while you are in labor.

Visitors under the age of 16 are not permitted in Labor and Delivery.

After delivery, you’ll be moved to a private postpartum room. It includes comfortable sleeping accommodations for you and your partner. Other amenities include a private bathroom and shower, adjustable lighting, rocking chair, telephone, television with VCR/DVD and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Meeting Your Baby

You can hold your baby as soon as he or she is born. A nurse will then examine, weigh and measure your baby, and give your little one back to you to hold and feed. Your baby will receive a bath and complete assessment when you’re being moved to your postpartum room.

After delivery, you’re encouraged to keep your baby with you as much as possible to begin the natural bonding process. If you need rest or medical care, we’ll care for your baby in the nursery near the postpartum room.

When You Have Visitors

For the safety and wellness of you and your baby, visiting hours are 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Visitors park free in the lot in front of the hospital. A patient liaison can direct them to your room.
