Free Programs to Help You Prepare for Your Baby

Many moms have questions about pregnancy, labor and caring for a baby. That's why we've created an extensive educational program for expectant mothers and their families.

Our classes cover:

  • Breastfeeding essentials
  • Comforting a baby
  • Infant care and lifesaving skills
  • Infant sign language
  • Lactation support
  • Pain control options during delivery

We also offer tours of our pregnancy and delivery suites. For more information or to register for classes or educational programs, call Maternity Education Services at (740) 420.8555.

Pregnancy Care Centered on Your Comfort

When it's time to deliver your baby, we offer you and your family complete care in our maternity center. Our large, private LDRP suites are decorated in soothing contemporary tones, and they have Murphy beds, so your family can stay with you overnight.

During your labor, you'll be supported by a highly trained medical staff. Should you need a C-section, we have a dedicated, fully equipped operating room available.

When your baby is born, show off his or her sweet face to your family members and friends with our exclusive e-babies program. Also, know that you're supported when it's time to head home, as we'll connect you with community resources that can help to support your new family.

Visitor Policy

Visitor Policy Changes Due to COVID-19: Be sure to view the Visitor Restrictions and Mask Use section of our COVID-19 policy updates for the latest visitor guidelines. If you have any questions, call our care site for more information.

A doula will be permitted for labor and delivery. Doulas must follow the same policies and screenings as visitors. Laboring patients who are minors may have their parents or guardians as visitors, in addition to the parent-to-be of the baby. Care sites with NICUs will follow Nationwide Children’s Hospital visitor management policy.
