LaMar Wyse is the interim Chief Operating Officer of Doctors Hospital – Nelsonville.
Mr. Wyse is a veteran healthcare executive with experience in multiple settings including both system-related and stand-alone hospitals. In a career spanning more than 35 years, Mr. Wyse held executive leadership positions at numerous healthcare organizations before semi-retiring to do interim executive placement. In addition to his extensive work in the administration of community hospitals and health systems, Mr. Wyse has experience in home health operations and physical rehabilitation facilities. He is also a Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician and Registered Respiratory Therapist.
Mr. Wyse received his Bachelor of Arts from Malone College in Canton, Ohio, before pursuing a Master of Health Administration from The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio. He has received additional professional training from the Pettit College of Law of Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio.
An active leader in his industry, Mr. Wyse has held numerous positions with healthcare trade groups and professional organizations. He has served on boards and committees of the American Hospital Association, the Ohio Hospital Association, The Ohio State University and Ohio University. Mr. Wyse is a past recipient of the Donald R. Newkirk Award (2009), the highest leadership award given by the Ohio Hospital Association for significant lifetime contribution to hospitals, communities and the state. He has also received proclamations from the Ohio House and Senate for significant career achievement (2009).
