My Mobile Medical Care

OhioHealth's eight-room mobile unit brings medical care to you.

We offer prenatal care and women’s health services, regardless of your ability to pay. We can work with your school to provide sports physicals and work physicals at no cost to you

Wellness on Wheels (WOW): Women’s Health and Prenatal Care

Our Wellness on Wheels mobile unit is staffed with a multidisciplinary team of OB/GYN physicians. We provide comprehensive prenatal, postpartum and women’s health services, including:

  • Ultrasounds
  • Nutrition consults with a dietician
  • Access to a social worker to help find additional services and resources
  • Access to birth control options

Each week, we visit Northland High School, East High School, South High School, Walnut Ridge High School and Van Buren Family Shelter in Columbus, Ohio.

Reaching Women: Medical Care After You Deliver

If you delivered your baby at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center and you did NOT receive care when you were pregnant, you can participate in this program. We provide postpartum (after delivery) care, gynecologic care and birth control. We’ll check your blood pressure, blood work and stitches (if you had a C-section). We can also talk to you about postpartum depression, breastfeeding, safe sleeping and other things that can keep you and your baby healthy and safe.

Sports and Work Physicals

We provide free sports and work physicals for students. Each year, we come to sites throughout central Ohio in August, September, February and May. Visits are arranged by the school nurse. Your parents will be contacted if you’re NOT cleared to participate.
