The Diabetes Education Program at McConnell Heart Health Center provides participants and their families with the most current information and resources for self-management of Type 1, Type 2 and Gestational Diabetes.
The program is certified by the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE). It is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of Certified Diabetes Educators (CDE's), nurses, dietitians, exercise physiologists and a pharmacist.

Weight management at the McConnell Heart Health Center includes all of the benefits of a regular fitness membership, along with learning lifestyle changes to help you achieve and maintain weight loss. Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) at teaches mind-body skills to work effectively with the general stressors of life. Research has demonstrated this program to be effective in reducing symptoms of anxiety, depression, pain, and a host of other stress-related disorders and symptoms.
