Grief Programs

At OhioHealth Hospice, we provide trained professional care during the 13 months of bereavement after the loss of a loved one. Our grief program will support you through the grieving process in a way that encourages personal healing and growth. Each person experiences grief in a unique way. We're here to ensure the healing process leads to a new, normal life.

Through our specialized program, we help individuals:

  • Understand and cope with grief reactions
  • Express feelings about the loss
  • Commemorate loved ones
  • Identify ways to help adjust to the loss
  • Develop strategies of growth and healing

Our program is the largest and most comprehensive grief program in central Ohio. It is designed to help people find healing and support to move through the loss of a loved one. Our unique approach to the healing process includes services that include:

  • Support groups about the grieving process and how to cope for all ages, including children, adolescents and adults
  • Workshops about grief and loss
  • One-on-one counseling
  • Expressive arts therapy
  • Information and referral services

Our professional services include:

  • Grief support programs, including school-based services
  • Educational programs on coping with grief or how to help
  • Professional training and consultation about grief related issues
  • Information and referral services
