How much will a Riverside resident be paid in his or her first year of residency?
During 2012-2013, residents will receive an annual salary of $48,318 for their first year. This amount will increase with each additional year that the resident is in the program.
What insurance is provided and what is offered to residents?
Professional liability and disability insurance coverage are provided at no cost. Term-life and an excellent medical/dental/vision plan are available on a cost-shared basis.
Do residents receive vacation time?
Each year, residents will have a total of three paid weeks of vacation and four days during either Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year's.
How much sick leave do residents receive?
All house staff are granted up to five paid sick days per year.
Is there a child-care program for residents to use?
Child care and a full-day, year-round Kindergarten program are available at our on-site center for children 6 weeks to 6 years of age.
Are meals provided to residents?
An annual stipend is provided to cover meals while on duty and other work expenses such as mileage when rotating outside the hospital. Family members are welcome to visit while on‐call and complimentary meal passes are available.
Is there a fee for parking?
Residents have parking available to them in a well lit, secure lot free of charge.
Are lab coats provided for the residents?
Scrubs and two monogrammed lab coats are provided yearly to residents at no cost.
