Donna Klabunde's story

Donna Klabunde

Each year, more than 213,000 women in the U.S. are diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. In 2004, Donna Klabunde was one of them. Yet despite the life-altering challenges she has faced since being diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, Donna is quick to point out, "I'm not a statistic. I'm a miracle."

Donna credits the clinicians at Riverside Cancer Services for their expertise and use of leading-edge technology in treating her disease. She also acknowledges the staff at Riverside Cancer Services for much of the positive outlook she has developed.

"The people at Riverside have always seen me for who I am, rather than for what my medical chart indicates," says Donna. "These are real lives they're touching, and they never seem to forget that. Each doctor and nurse gives me hope, and I feel I have been blessed. Because without hope, I couldn't survive. Each year, more than 213,000 women in the U.S. are diagnosed with invasive breast cancer.
