Hands-on training and practice in a small group setting. Equipment is typically provided.
Classes are two-part unless noted otherwise and held at the Gerlach Center.

Complimentary Computer Tutoring for AdvantAge Members DJ’s Cyber Café: Free one-on-one, on-site computer tutoring on a scheduled basis for one-hour sessions weekly. Peer volunteers individualize material to a student’s needs and pace. Training can encompass Word-based products, Internet, and e-mail.

Facebook Basics and Safety Plan to attend both sessions. Learn how to create an account, find and add friends and family members, share photos, post messages, and join (or “like”) groups of interest securely.

Google Mania Plan to attend both sessions. Learn to find photos and videos, search patents and trademarks and scholarly papers for research. Translate text into other languages, download free software, and navigate the globe from satellite images.

NEW: Internet Basics Using Google Chrome Plan to attend both classes, which will cover the basics of search engines and browsers plus how to browse through websites efficiently. Learn to also save bookmarks and settings on your Home Page, and how to download and retrieve files online.

iPad BasicsPlan to attend both sessions. Learn about iPad buttons and their functions; practice navigating and using standard features, as well as about the more than 200,000 “apps” currently available. The iPad offers many opportunities!
