Medical Benefits

The OhioHealthy Medical Plan is built on a foundation of prevention and wellness. It includes a preventive care schedule of services and tobacco cessation counseling that are paid at 100%. It also includes wellness benefits:

  • Three exercise consultation benefits at no cost
  • Three nutritional counseling visits at no cost
  • Reimbursement for weight watchers and fitness classes so that the final cost for each class is only $20

OhioHealthy Medical Plan
For other services, OhioHealth funds a Health Fund of $1,100- $2,200 annually, depending upon your coverage tier.

  • The Health Fund pays for 100% of your care up to the account limit.
  • If you use all the account, the plan works like a PPO plan, with a deductible or member responsibility, then pays in-network at 80% and out-of-network at 50%.
  • The plan has a true out-of-pocket maximum that limits the amount you pay in a year as long as you stay in-network.

If you do not use all of your Health Fund, the funds roll over to the next year to offset future medical costs. There is not a limit to the amount that can roll over, and if you have funds in your account when you retire they can be used to offset your retiree medical costs.

Tools and resources
