Terri W. Meldrum, Esq., joined OhioHealth in 2002 and is currently the senior vice president and general counsel. Ms. Meldrum is responsible for leading a team of attorneys, paralegals and support staff responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day legal representation of OhioHealth and its 28,000 associates, 600+ multi-specialty physician medical group, numerous hospitals and healthcare facilities, and joint ventures. Ms. Meldrum is also responsible for management of the system’s risk management department, self-insurance program and captive insurance company.
Ms. Meldrum received her Bachelor of Arts degree from The Ohio State University in 1990 and her Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 1993. After graduating from law school, Ms. Meldrum served four years as an assistant attorney general in the Business & Government Regulation section of the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, until moving to private practice in the healthcare department of Taft, Stettinius & Hollister. In that capacity, Ms. Meldrum represented physicians and physician groups in all aspects of healthcare, corporate and regulatory law.
Ms. Meldrum was named to the list of Top Lawyers in Ohio by Business First several years running, received the prestigious Business First Forty Under Forty Award in 2005 and the Super Lawyer’s Rising Star Award in 2007.
Ms. Meldrum is a current member of the Columbus Bar Association, American Health Lawyers Association and Columbus Women’s Bar Association. Ms. Meldrum has been actively involved in community activities, including the Ronald McDonald House Charities®, City Year Columbus and the Columbus Children’s Theatre. Ms. Meldrum is currently an active member of the Big Brothers Big Sisters program with a successful match of more than four years. Ms. Meldrum resides in New Albany, Ohio, with her husband and two daughters.
