Located on Columbus’s west side, OhioHealth Doctors Hospital has been nationally recognized by Thomson Reuters as a Top 100 Hospital (2010, 2011) and 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospital (2012) along with many other honors. Doctors Hospital is the second largest osteopathic teaching hospital in the country with 160 residents/fellows in 17 training programs. Mike has demonstrated outstanding leadership in physician recruitment and outreach, with more than 20 years in various leadership positions in Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York.
Prior to joining Doctors Hospital, Mr. Reichfield served as chief executive officer for the newly created health system, Affinity Medical Center in Massillon, Ohio. Affinity is the successful merger of two community hospitals, Massillon Community Hospital and Doctors Hospital of Stark County, into one regional health system. Previous to the merger he served as president of Massillon Community Hospital. There he implemented a financial turn-around for the hospital and recruited and retained a strong medical staff. Mr. Reichfield also achieved high patient satisfaction scores in all areas, including the Emergency Department that received the Press Ganey Summit Award for top fifth percentile of satisfaction for three consecutive years.
Reichfield received his master's degree in Health Administration from The Ohio State University and his bachelor's degree from State University of New York at Stony Brook in Stony Brook, New York. He is involved locally with Hilliard Rotary, Westland Area Business Association and nationally as a board member of the Bureau of Healthcare Facilities Accreditation.
