Donna Hanly was named OhioHealth’s first chief nursing executive in 2013. In this role, she is responsible for planning, directing and evaluating all nursing functions and patient care services for the OhioHealth system. She is also accountable for establishing standardized nursing processes and procedures throughout OhioHealth to drive consistency in clinical care and ensure an exceptional patient experience in every hospital and across the continuum of care.
Joining OhioHealth in 1972, Ms. Hanly has served in a variety of nursing leadership roles during her career. From 2006 to 2013, she held the position of chief nursing officer and vice president of patient care services at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center, a hospital recognized for nursing excellence through Magnet designation. Previously, she held several leadership and staff nursing positions at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital.
Ms. Hanly received an Associate of Science in Nursing from West Liberty State College, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Otterbein College and a Master of Business Administration from Franklin University. She is a member of The American Organization for Nurse Executives, the Ohio Nurses Association and the Central Ohio Organization of Nurse Executives and serves on several community boards and organizations.
