Sports medicine for middle school, high school and college athletes
More than 130 licensed OhioHealth athletic trainers work at schools full time during sports seasons. They're an important part of every team, helping athletes stay healthy and ready for play. If injuries happen, they're part of our comprehensive sports medicine team, helping athletes recover safely and get back in the game, while keeping coaches and parents in the loop.
Your school's partnership with OhioHealth means faster access to sports medicine physicians, surgeons and comprehensive treatment: our extensive team of more than 45 sports medicine physicians offer appointments often on the same day or within 24 to 48 hours. Our sports medicine hotline, (614) 566-GAME, connects you with a sports medicine expert 24/7.
OhioHealth supports coaches too by, providing required CPR Certification and Pupil Activity Permit (PAP) training. The courses are free for coaches, athletic directors and other staff at OhioHealth partner schools; there is a fee for the courses for non-affiliated schools.
