Our therapists provide conservative management for musculoskeletal symptoms during pregnancy and after your baby is born. Common symptoms range from back and pelvic pain to sciatic pain in the buttock and leg.
Your therapist will:
Evaluate your joint movement, muscle flexibility, muscle strength and movement patterns in relation to your symptoms
Provide education about proper body mechanics and positioning to reduce stress to joints and muscles
Coach you on manual techniques to improve joint mechanics and muscle activation and self-management techniques.
Physical therapy typically requires one to two appointments for approximately 45 minutes per week for a total of six to ten visits.
