Screening and Lifestyle Modification

Lifestyle changes are possible when you understand how the physical body is affected by the choices you make.

Our Community Cardiovascular Health Awareness Program provides screenings and education about the risk factors associated with cardiovascular disease. It can help you choose and practice heart-healthy lifestyles.  The five week sessions, located at OhioHealth facilities, include a personal health assessment and lifestyle-related health counseling as well as:

Health Screenings

  • Blood pressure
  • Cholesterol
  • Glucose
  • Body Mass Index-Weight and Height

Education on key risk factors and their impact on cardiovascular disease

  • High blood pressure
  • Diabetes
  • Smoking and tobacco use
  • Cholesterol
  • Diet and nutrition
  • Physical activity
  • Stress

This low-cost prevention program costs $15 and includes not only the above assessment, counseling, screenings and education but also a pedometer and health manual. To learn more, please call (614) 566-9187.
