Welcome to OhioHealth's Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Program at Riverside Methodist Hospital and Grant Medical Center.

Meeting the vast spiritual needs of the large and diverse population at these two hospitals is challenging and rewarding. It requires collegiality, commitment and teamwork, as well as a never-ending desire to learn. Our CPE program is committed to fostering students who embrace these qualities and also creating pastoral education jobs in central Ohio.

Our program

The clinical pastoral education program at Riverside Methodist and Grant offers all three levels of CPE (Level I, Level II and Supervisory CPE). Our programs include:

• Extended and Summer Intern Programs:
  • A 40-hour week summer intensive internship program for a duration of 11 weeks
  • A 16-hour week part-time extended internship program
• Year-long Residence Program: Program in which students earn credit for three units of CPE
• Supervisory Residency Program: A full-time three to four year program
