At OhioHealth, we know the work we do affects more hearts than just the ones we treat. It's one of the many reasons our physicians are the best at what they do and why we're defining excellence in heart and vascular care today and tomorrow.
- Six of 10 cardiovascular patients who come to Columbus from the regional markets seek care at an OhioHealth hospital.
- Our hospitals average more than 1,500 open-heart surgeries annually performed by teams of nationally recognized physicians, nurses and staff.
Our heart and vascular care is nationally recognized
- Grant Medical Center is home to The William C. Kraner Heart Center, which opened in 2007. This state-of-the-art facility includes four cardiac catheterization labs, an electrophysiology lab and an operating room developed exclusively for open heart surgeries.
- Riverside Methodist was again named one of the nation's 100 Top Hospitals for cardiovascular care by Thompson, a healthcare information firm. Riverside Methodist is home to the McConnell Heart Hospital, a six-story free-standing heart hospital, designed to deliver high-quality innovative heart care to central Ohio residents.
- Surgeons at Doctors Hospital perform open heart surgery, and Doctors is also an accredited Chest Pain Center (by the Society of Chest Pain Centers), which recognizes the timely diagnosis and treatment of patients with heart attacks.
Our commitment to quality heart and vascular care
