When you or your loved ones need medical attention, good isn’t good enough. You want and expect the very best care possible. Grant Medical Center’s world-class physicians and staff provide that care just minutes away in downtown Columbus.
Founded in 1900, Grant has grown into one of the nation’s top hospitals, with a national reputation for specialized trauma capabilities, surgical excellence and nursing expertise. Our successes say it all.
Grant's Level I Trauma Center is one of the most prominent in the state.
We provide care to thousands of serious injury patients each year. When the stakes are highest, Grant’s multidisciplinary teams are available round the clock to preserve health and save lives.
Grant is a preeminent surgical center.
We focus on better outcomes and getting you home sooner. We handle 20,000 procedures annually while building on our enviable state and national reputation for excellence. In 2008, Grant became the first hospital in Ohio to receive the Gold Seal of Approval certification from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations for both knee and hip replacement expertise. We also received certifications for Heart Failure and Primary Stroke Center.
Because we invest in the best and the brightest, our nursing care has also attracted national attention.
In 2005, Grant Medical Center was awarded “Magnet Designation” by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Magnet Designation is the highest level of recognition awarded to healthcare organizations for nursing excellence.
As a teaching medical center, Grant is a recognized leader.
We have been ranked as one of the nation’s Top 100 Hospitals for two consecutive years, and members of the Grant medical staff consistently have been recognized by their peers as some of the best doctors in central Ohio.
Our comprehensive specialty services assure that no matter what your needs, you will receive caring, compassionate, expert care. For example:
- Orthopedics. Grant excels at joint replacements, mending simple fractures and badly broken bones, and minimally invasive procedures for repairing rotator cuff injuries and other bone and joint disorders. In 2009, 2008, 2007, 2003 and 2002, U.S. News & World Report recognized Grant as one of the top 50 hospitals in the nation for excellence in orthopedics.
- Sports medicine. Professional and school athletes, as well as fitness conscious individuals, rely on Grant to safely heal fractures and ligament tears and help prevent future injuries.
- Heart disease. Grant provides emergency treatment for patients with heart attack symptoms and surgery for patients needing coronary artery bypass, valve repair or replacement, aortic aneurysm repair and other corrective procedures.
- Women and babies health services. Starting in January 2009, women who deliver their babies at Grant will do so in newly renovated and upgraded private birthing suites. Newborns will benefit from the improved environments in the special care and healthy babies nurseries.
- Podiatry. Grant podiatrists treat acute injuries such as plantar fasciitis and heel spurs, offer elective surgery for bunions and hammertoes, and help patients with diabetes avoid amputation and maximize limb salvage.
When good isn't good enough, Grant provides what you and your loved ones need most: the best care possible . . . peace of mind.
We're not just good. We're Grant.
