Patient satisfaction survey At Doctors Hospital, providing "very good" customer service is our goal. In fact, we compare ourselves with hospitals from all over the nation as to how well we meet our customers' expectations.
We do this by mailing a survey to patient's homes a few days following their discharge from the hospital. It is very important to us that these surveys are completed and returned so that we can celebrate the good things we're doing, as well as improve on those areas where we need to do better. The survey is very simple and only takes a few minutes to complete , but it is critical to our customer service success.
But please, don't wait until you get home. Let us know right away if there is something we can do to improve our service so your stay with us may be as pleasant as possible. We're striving to be a national leader in customer service and patient satisfaction so sending you home feeling that we provided "very good" care in all areas of the hospital is very important to us. Please contact any staff member for assistance and they will be happy to help.

OhioHealth's charity care policy OhioHealth tailors its policies to address the needs of each community it serves. In Columbus, we have a unique healthcare system where all of the not-for-profit hospitals provide high quality care to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay. This system allows OhioHealth to provide one of the most compassionate charity care policies to individuals and families who cannot pay for medically necessary healthcare services they receive at our facilities. OhioHealth's charity care policy for its Columbus hospitals includes:
- Charity care guidelines that provide free care for individuals and families who earn less than 200 percent of the federal poverty level
- Sliding scale fees to provide substantially discounted care for individuals and families who are between 200 and 400 percent of the Federal poverty level
- Hardship policy for those patients who would not otherwise qualify for charity care but have unique circumstances
Patients are encouraged to apply for financial assistance as early in the process as possible, as untimely applications for financial assistance may be denied. Patients residing in out of system service areas are encouraged to discuss financial assistance limitations to coverage for non-emergency care with a hospital financial counselor.
In many cases, OhioHealth offers interest free loans for up to one year to assist patients.
In addition, an uninsured discount policy became effective January 1, 2005, for individuals without insurance who do not qualify for charity care.
