Quality cardiac services
In 2005, Riverside received a quality designation as a UnitedHealth Premium cardiac specialty center. Cardiac specialty centers are designated based on staff experience, breadth of care, depth of care, emergency care and quality and data management. This designation reflects national recognition of the quality of care Riverside provides.
Top cardiovascular hospital
In 1999, 2000, 2003 and 2006, Riverside was ranked among the Top 100 Cardiovascular Hospitals in the country. The award from Solucient is based on a study using clinical and financial measures such as average length of stay, risk-adjusted complications, mortality rates and severity-adjusted costs per case. In 2006, Riverside was the only hospital in central Ohio to be named on this prestigious list.
Top rated cardiac program
In 2001, Riverside's cardiac program was named the top rated program in the Columbus area by HealthGrades, a national leader in providing comprehensive, objective quality ratings.

In 2002 and 2004, Grant Medical Center received a five-star rating, the highest rating possible, for carotid endarterectomy procedures (surgical repair of blocked arteries) from HealthGrades, Inc. a healthcare quality ratings, information and advisory services company.

In 2001, Grant's cardiac program was named the top rated program in the Columbus area by HealthGrades, a national leader in providing comprehensive, objective quality ratings.
Riverside, Grant & Doctors heart care programs recognized
In 2004, heart care programs at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Grant Medical Center and Doctors Hospital were named to the UnitedHealth Premium Network, an initiative that recognizes quality and cost-efficient healthcare and identifies hospitals whose programs provide treatment that improves patient survival rates and reduces hospital stays and costs.
