ALIC services Since 1992, OhioHealth Cancer Care has coordinated ALIC services in Ohio as part of an agreement between the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center in West Virginia. This program works to increase public awareness, provide education, increase cancer screening, and promote early detection of breast cancer and cervical cancer to rural, low-income and medically underserved women in Appalachian Ohio.
BEST and BCCP breast programs To provide additional access to breast and cervical cancer screening for low-income women, OhioHealth has partnered with the American Cancer Society’s BEST (Breast Education and Screening and Treatment) program and the Columbus Health Department’s BCCP (Breast and Cervical Cancer Prevention) program since their inception in 1995.
