At OhioHealth, we offer a broad range of leading edge clinical trials so our patients may receive the newest therapy and best treatment currently known. Clinical trials are also available to help prevent and manage treatment side effects and prevent recurrent cancer.
Up-to-date cancer care
By offering a comprehensive clinical research program, we are able to deliver the most current state-of-the-art cancer care available. At any one time, approximately 90-100 clinical trails are open for patients at Riverside, Grant, Doctors and Grady hospitals. At OhioHealth, the percent of our patients who participate in clinical trials far exceeds the national average.
Clinical trails are not for everyone. Eligibility requirements vary for each trial and your prognosis and personal situation may also influence if you can participate. Talk with your doctor about the clinical trials that are available to you and if you qualify. If you become part of a research trial, an OhioHealth Oncology Research Nurse will help you learn about your treatment, closely monitor your care and provide support and follow-up after the treatment is complete.
To learn more about cancer clinical trials currently available at OhioHealth, talk to your doctor or call CancerCall at (614) 566-4321 or 1-800-752-9119.
