Treatments and Procedures

Heart & Vascular Services >

The heart specialists and staff at OhioHealth know the work we do affects more hearts than just the ones we treat. And when you consider we treat more than 25,000 hearts each year, you get a sense of the awesome responsibility we face daily. It's one of the reasons our physicians are the best at what they do. Perhaps it's why more people in central Ohio rely on us for all of their family's healthcare needs.

Electrophysiology Study (EPS) and Radiofrequency Ablation
Electrophysiology studies test the electrical system of the heart. Radiofrequency ablation is used to eradicate some irregular heart rhythms.

Holter Monitor Test
The Holter monitor is a test used to check the heart for possible irregularities in the heartbeat (cardiac arrhythmias).

Dobutamine Muga
A dobutamine muga is an exercise test that measures how well the heart pumps by using a drug called Dobutamine to take the place of exercise.

Balloon Angioplasty and Stent Placement
A balloon angioplasty is done to open a narrowed or blocked artery.

Heart Murmur / Valve Problems
Heart valves regulate the blood flow in one direction through the heart and to parts of the body. The valves may be affected by a variety of conditions such as rheumatic fever, congenital defects, bacterial infections or injury to supporting structures of the valves.
