Electrophysiology
Study (EPS) and Radiofrequency Ablation Electrophysiology studies test
the electrical system of the heart. Radiofrequency ablation is used to eradicate
some irregular heart rhythms.
Holter
Monitor Test The Holter monitor is a test used to check the
heart for possible irregularities in the heartbeat (cardiac arrhythmias).
Dobutamine
Muga A dobutamine muga is an exercise test that measures how well the
heart pumps by using a drug called Dobutamine to take the place of exercise.
Balloon
Angioplasty and Stent Placement A balloon angioplasty is done to open a
narrowed or blocked artery.
Heart
Murmur / Valve Problems Heart valves regulate the blood flow
in one direction through the heart and to parts of the body. The valves may be
affected by a variety of conditions such as rheumatic fever, congenital defects,
bacterial infections or injury to supporting structures of the valves.
